Adamant Namiki started in 1939 as a manufacturer of synthetic sapphire bearings for the first domestically-produced electric power meter.
The meter's sapphire bearings, which are hard and do not wear out easily, were also adopted for water meters and other measuring instruments necessary to daily life.
During the wartime period, our company also engaged in the manufacturing of bearings for flight instruments and radio navigation instruments.
After the war, we produced successful products such as jewel bearings for clocks, diamond phonograph needles, and exterior parts for clocks. Today, our hard, non-wearing, industrial-use bearings are used in a variety of fields, including communication, medical, biotechnology, and semiconductor.
