A 2D (two dimensional) Fiber Array is a connecting device for fiber switching in large-scale multicast switches using a microlens array on the end face to achieve large scale switching by multi-channel collimated light.
The fiber is inserted into the microhole array arranged in the X and Y axis direction in a highly precise pitch tolerance which is achieved by high precise etching on a silicon wafer at polished end face flatness of 1 micron or less.
We can design lens arrays based on the optical design per simulation testing by request and we can also design with lens arrays for a 2D collimator array.
